All right, so it's Christmas!
It's Christmas, and I am offering some high quality cards at, really, very cheap prices.
And what's better in a stocking than a vintage -sealed- starter deck? Or two?
But, also, my phone died. Like, it really died. I was doing an update, and it failed to come back on afterward. My current photos were taken with my daughter's old phone which is... well, it has seen better days, so that's why some of the current photos are... not up to par, but I can't do anything about that until I get a new phone, since that is what I use for auction photos (my actual camera doesn't like doing these close-up kinds of photos I need for this). Buying a new phone was not a planned for activity, so help a guy out and buy stuff for Christmas!
Oh, did I mention it's Christmas?
The things you need to know:
If you've been following my auctions at all, you'll know that I'm working on cleaning out my garage, and I have been for a while. Lots of stuff. Too much stuff. The bulk of it has already been moved into storage for a move which should be happening soon. -ish. I don't want the stuff that's in storage, either, but I can only do so much at a time.
That said, I am not here to give stuff away and have grown weary of "offers" to me that include "since you don't want it anyway." I actually do need the money and, if I wanted to give my stuff away, there are plenty of people I know in person who would be happy to have it.
Having said that, there are two things you need to know:
1.
The bulk of my cards -- CCGs and TCGs -- are completely unplayed and as pack fresh as you can get without opening the packs yourself. Some of my early Magic has been played, but I had moved to collecting only by '97, and much of the early stuff was never used. I built collections before I used cards for playing, so except for some rare exceptions, my cards are in beyond excellent condition. Any defects on any cards will be pointed out in the auctions.
2.
When you pay extra for a card with a high grade, you are
not
paying for the grade, you are paying for the condition of the card. The grade is merely a reflection of the condition, and the reason for the grade is to show that someone other than the seller is "vouching" for the condition of the card. People have been pretty desperate to buy my cards so that they can send them in for the high grades so they can re-sell. I will no longer be playing this game. If I have a high-condition card (which is basically all of them), graded or not, I will be expecting a higher price for it. Period. Especially if it's a highly sought after card. If you don't want to pay the price, that's fine with me, but don't try to haggle with me about it. It's not like I don't offer fair prices based on what things are currently selling for on eBay. The Magic cards, in particular, I don't mind storing for my kids. As an example, I find an offer of for a 0 card to be an insult. Don't do that.
One other thing to know:
I am instituting a "research fee" to check through parts of my collection for cards that I am not specifically working with at that moment. This is a lot of work for me, delays what I am doing, and rarely results in sales, just haggling. The fee is not refundable, but I will deduct the fee from any sales that occur, unless the sale is less than , in which case the will cover the sale.
My time is valuable, and I am tired of spending it looking for items for people who then try to convince to sell for lower than eBay prices.
So... There you go. Maybe I'm being too... hard? Harsh? I don't know. But I have to have some lines, and these are those. I wish you all happy bidding and all that jazz.

A note about my auctions:
As I mentioned above, I'm working on cleaning out my garage. I need the space at this point more than I need the stuff I've been storing there
AND
I don't want to have to move it all again when we move in a few years. So far, I've been auctioning things off pretty slowly and relisting when things don't sell right away because most of it
eventually
sells.
However
, I need to speed up the process because, well, I'm not making any progress on the garage as a whole. In light of that, I will no longer be relisting things endlessly. I need to start making some space, so if something doesn't sell after a couple of listings, I'm going to start finding other things to do with those items. Sometimes that might include the trash.
All of that to say:
