The
instrument
has eight voltage ranges,
divided
in steps of 20 dB each, to correspond with the
20 dB logarithmic
meter
scale.

low
pass
filter
is provided
to
reduce the effect of high frequency noise
signals,
when low frequency signals are
being
measured.
The filter is effective on all volt­
age
ranges,
but
is
especially
useful
on
the
