SCREAM QUEENS Promotional Trading Cards - Set of 3 Different - 1994 / 1995
The term “Scream Queen” will always mean that group of lovely ladies that starred in cheesy B horror films in the 1980’s and early 90’s as video was really taking off. They were a cottage industry that never failed to turn more than their monies worth in rentals back when we ran a video store. The term has been kicked, dragged through the mud, and bastardized to the point of meaning absolutely nothing since then, but that’s where it originated and what it will always mean to those of us that remember it best.
In the 1990’s Market Square Productions out of Pittsburgh, PA cashed in with Scream Queens Illustrated Magazine as well as several Scream Queen trading card sets featuring all of the original “Queens of Scream” as well as a few that were a little late to the game and showed up in the 1990’s.
Here we have a small lot of four promotional trading cards for some of the Market Square productions magazines and card sets that feature a bit of hype on the back of the card and a nice, full color image on the front… Generally naked or at least topless.
The cards include:
SCREAM QUEENS 5 - Promo card 3 for the 5th series of Scream Queens Trading Cards featuring Debbie Dutch.
SCREAM QUEENS ILLUSTRATED - 1995 Promo card advertising the magazine.
SCREAM QUEENS: DUETS - 1995 promo card 1 hyping a card set featuring two lovely ladies on each card.
All of the cards are in VG overall condition with no rips, bends or rounded corners. They were just sitting in a box in our warehouse for all these years and recently discovered while cleaning off the low shelves we haven’t looked at in years.
