Description
Milky Spore is a one time application for the control of Japanese beetles that is guaranteed to last 10 years and may last up to 20. Caused by the Paenibacillus popilliae bacteria, the milky spore disease targets the white larva of Japanese beetles. Adult beetles lay eggs in late summer that quickly hatch. In this larval stage, the young beetles live just under the surface and feed on the roots of grass and other plants and, if you've applied Milky Spore, ingest the bacteria. A few weeks later the host grub will no longer be able to support the ever multiplying milky spore and will die, releasing billions of new spores into the soil. Milky Spore is not harmful to people, animals, plants, or beneficial insects and is safe to use near waterways. One teaspoon should be applied every four feet in a checkerboard pattern. Can be applied anytime the ground is not frozen, but for optimal results apply in summer before adult beetles lay their eggs. If you choose to return your product, you can arrange for this within 30 days of receiving it. To set up a return, email us and you will be provided with a return address. Returned products must be in their original, unopened package and must still be in new and unused condition.
