Description
Playing a brass instrument in a loud, amplified band can be problematic. Even with electronic monitors, it can be difficult to hear yourself if the stage volume is high, which can cause over blowing, resulting in intonation and endurance problems. These mic-mounted reflector shields are incredibly effective in returning sound to the player, even in extremely loud playing situations.
They're made from used vinyl LP records that are at the end of their useful lives, and were destined for the landfill. Most have some visible scratches, but they aren't noticeable from even a short distance away.
They're large enough to reflect plenty of sound back to the player, but small enough to fit in most gig bags or backpacks. Perfect for outdoor gigs or playing situations where there weren't enough monitors to go around.
These have a durable rubber grommet that fits snuggly onto microphones like the Shure SM57 or SM58, as well as many other handheld brands. It DOES NOT fit on most cordless mics, or mics that have switches on the side.
The label color on the LP and artist is random. If you have specific albums that you'd like to have converted into shields, message me through eBay to arrange how to ship them to me. The cost is still the same.
